SWARTHOS [the master blog]

Master Blog location revealed:  DIGITAL WASTELAND

Well, since I'm paying for that one I probably should devote more time and energy to its upkeep.

Domain/Website ownership is fun I guess.  It's mostly just having a sense of importance?  I guess it's a sense of importance although I don't feel important in the least, well... at the very most a slightly above poor to below average since of importance.  I don't really have all that many interesting experiences or things to say for that matter.

I made the error of scattering my vlogging & blogging all over creation.  Now I don't know for a fact if that is a bad thing or not.  I just have trouble focusing on one item.  If I start making a ton of entries into my SWARTHOS.com website then I begin feeling as though I'm neglecting my Blogger.  I've made a lousy attempt at consolidating everything I have, I've put links to everything on my webpage.  So, I don't know.  I guess I'll just have to keep crawling across the surface of this hot, dry prison planet.

A message by Hal Lindsey

What About the Children?

By Hal Lindsey

One of the problems with idolatry is that it does not sit still. It grows. Satan always wants more. Eventually, he even demands the children. Deuteronomy 12:31 explains where idol worship leads. “They burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.” Do you get what that’s saying? Those ancient idol-worshipers burned their own babies alive!

God’s command is firm. In Leviticus 18:21, He said, “You shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech.”

In this enlightened 21st century, we would never do anything like that, right? Wrong. We kill kids, too. The difference is that we do it while they are still in the womb.

Until recently, anti-abortion sentiments had been growing in the United States. That may be because improved ultrasounds allow us to look into the faces of the unborn. But in the aftermath of the Supreme Court striking down Roe versus Wade, the tide turned. Marchers, politicians, celebrities, and reporters yelled to women, “They’re taking away your constitutional rights!” And that’s what many of them believed.

I despise it when government encroaches on rights — mine or those of someone else. But abortion was never a constitutional right. The Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution specifically forbids the federal government from taking over areas of law not given to it by the Constitution. And the Constitution does not give the federal government rule over matters such as abortion. It’s one of the many areas that the Constitution leaves up to the states.

But that’s just a legal argument. The abortion issue is more than that. It is moral. It boils down to three questions. Is the fetus alive? Is it a part of the mother like her thumb or her foot? What species is the child?

The unborn child is dependent on the mother, but he or she is not an appendage. The mother’s thumb has the same DNA she has. The unborn is a unique life. His or her DNA is different from the mother’s. If the unborn child were just another part of the mother, then she would have two heads, two hearts, four kidneys, and twenty toes. The unborn is a unique person. The other two answers are even simpler. The unborn baby is alive — and its species is human.

Therefore, abortion kills a unique human being.

If you have ever had an abortion, please don’t feel condemned. If you have turned to Christ, He has completely forgiven you. If you have not, then ask Him and He will forgive. According to Jesus in John 8:36, the person Jesus makes free, is “free indeed.”

Christians and others in the pro-life movement must remember that the answer to abortion is not violence or rage. It is loving persuasion. Listen to what the other side has to say, then present your side with kindness. Be civil. But do not hide from this issue. Tell the truth.

Christians should exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as we attempt to persuade. Galatians 5:22-23 says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”

Orion Halifax

It was at the Orion Halifax we first met.  She blew smoke in my face.  Something intoxicating about those cigarettes I’m certain of it…

Great Repository of the Future Digital Wasteland

Choosing your storage facility: // Begin new thought process //

Clay Tablets are a good medium.  They've been around for centuries and endure the elements.  Paper is fairly good quality for storage but depending on the composition could be prone to disintegration.  Stone is excellent but of course, like clay tablets are bulky and limited. > Broadcasting // whatever medium is chosen, a well broadcasted media is always a good practice.

[Don't put all your eggs into one basket]

Spread it around, just as the Word of God consists of many Books with a consolidated message.

I'm currently living in the Digital age.  I was born at the tail end of the analogue era.  That has come and gone and evolved into the Digital.  [what will the future of data storage look like?] < no one really knows.

According to research done by the Domosapiens at Domo, "by 2020, there will be 1.7MB data created every second for every person on earth"

That's a lot of required "physical" medium.  That takes us to the extreme future but perhaps not too far out...

Quantum memory

Quantum memory is currently being worked on by "researchers" < Mice in labcoats.

Quantum Photonics] using light particles to transmit and store data < Now you're talking future // now you're talking -human- permanence. As long as the world is here//something stored in light can remain.  Quantum Photonics at the present moment is not feasible.  Your Data could very well end up on the far side of the universe// [or perhaps an alternate dimension?]  > Right on//I'll take it.  Those of us here at the Great Repository of the Future Digital Wasteland support this theory.  GRFDW Right on!

Possible future storage:

- Raman Quantum Memory //utilizing atomic vapor in paraffin coated glass cells that is heated for reaction of some sort...//

- Cesium vapour Memory //utilizing warm atomic vapor//

- Optical Photons in Diamond  //sounds like science fiction//

whatever we evolve to with our digital storage needs//we can know this.  A Future Digital Wasteland is coming.  Will certain data make the transfer to these quantum states?  That remains to be seen.  Best now that we B R O A D C A S T our information.  Don't put it all in one location and perhaps it will survive the coming collapse. rket, if fruition happens?

Where the world is headed

I titled this post "Where the world is headed" but perhaps it would more appropriately be titled "Where the world is at" for what I am about to write is only an account of what has already been established.

Cutting to the chase.  Our country, the USA along with much of the world has become a drug culture.  It goes hand in hand with the demonic entities controlling nearly all our sensory input forums i.e. social media, entertainment, news etc.

Not only is the USA responsible for a bloodbath of unborn children, it is fast becoming the legal illicit drug capital of the world.  I don't even need to mention the issues and problems that were created when Alcohol became legal.  Innumerable lives have been negatively impacted because of Alcohol related events.

Now we have Marijuana (Cannabis) fast becoming legal in all states.  Several states have already legalized the use of this mind altering drug and in doing so we have seen a decrease in productivity as well as an increase in crime.  Lives are being negatively impacted by Cannabis.

What does the Bible say about drugs?  It says that you will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven if you are an unrepentant drug user.  The Bible calls it Sorcery or Witchcraft, the Greek word being Phamakeia, this is where we get the word Pharmacy (where legal, useful drugs are sold as medicine).  So now people want to include Cannabis as a "Medicine" but this is a crock.  It is a hallucinogenic drug used primarily in Sorcery.

Here is the Wikipedia:

Cannabis has served as an entheogen—a chemical substance used in religious or spiritual contexts[1]—in the Indian subcontinent since the Vedic period dating back to approximately 1500 BCE, but perhaps as far back as 2000 BCE. It was introduced to the New World by the Spaniards in 1530-45.[2] Cannabis has been used by shamanic and pagan cultures to ponder deeply religious and philosophical subjects related to their tribe or society, to achieve a form of enlightenment, to unravel unknown facts and realms of the human mind and subconscious, and also as an aphrodisiac during rituals or orgies.[citation needed] There are several references in Greek mythology to a powerful drug that eliminated anguish and sorrow. Herodotus wrote about early ceremonial practices by the Scythians, thought to have occurred from the 5th to 2nd century BCE. Itinerant Hindu saints have used it in the Indian subcontinent for centuries.[3] Mexican-Indian communities occasionally use cannabis in religious ceremonies by leaving bundles of it on church altars to be consumed by the attendees.

Of course, it is a gateway drug.  Not just for the individual user but for societal acceptance.  Like Alcohol before it.  Once Alcohol was legalized, people began fighting for the legalization of Cannabis.  Now that Cannabis is widely legal, people are fighting for the legalization of Hallucinogenic Mushrooms.  There will be no end to it.

So what do we have a nation, a world for that matter, filled with?  Infant killing, drug addicted people.  This is where we've been headed all along, this is where we have arrived.

Total Recall

So I got a trip to Mars

The post I made late yesterday generated some nostalgic thoughts in me so I am quickly going to write it here for the Great Repository which of course is destined for the Future Digital Wasteland...

Let's go back to the year 1990 and what I like to refer to as the peak of Western civilization.  It was my peak, perhaps not so for others but it was for me.  Peak of physical fitness, peak of happiness and so on and so forth.  Obviously I enjoyed that era immensely and it's not because I'm looking back upon it while wearing the proverbial rose colored glasses, I genuinely knew at that moment of time that I was experiencing a peak in just about everything that I was experiencing around me.  I liked it all, the fashion, the music, my friendships, my job and the movies which this is primarily about as it marks my perceived ideological peak.

I enjoyed going to the movies and every Friday I'd check out the papers to see what was playing at one of many local movie houses.  Arnold Schwarzenegger was on the cusp of becoming a box office sensation and I was keen to jump on anything he might be appearing in, especially after seeing him in movies like Terminator, Predator and The Running Man.  So when I heard that he was going to be starring in a new Sci-Fi action movie I could hardly wait since it was going to be touching on topics that were near and dear to me, namely Mars and a twisted perception of reality, what a combo!

June 1st 1990  It was Friday and I was driving to work in Coronado California and listening to the morning talk show on radio when the DJ announced that he would be giving away two tickets to the premiere of Total Recall starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, you just have to be the 5th caller and the tickets are yours.  A few moments go by, perhaps a commercial or two and then the DJ was back with a caller on the line, a woman was the lucky winner and the conversation went something like this:  Congratulations you're caller number 5 and you've just won two tickets to the Premiere of Total Recall starring Arnold Schwarzenegger!  The female caller responded with "Arnold Schwarzenegger... No thank you, I don't want the tickets".  I was blown away by that.  As I sat in my car on that foggy morning, making my way to work so that I could count down the hours until I myself would be seated in the theater that evening, I could not believe her reaction.  Oh well, that only cemented my desire to see the movie even more.

I had already called my local theater and knew that there was a 5pm showing of Total Recall and I made haste to get home quickly and make my way to the theater, once inside I made sure to find my preferred seating area, left most seat of center section, 1/3rd of the way back from screen.  I don't know why, I just happened to like watching movies from that area.  Once the movie began I knew that I was going to love it and I did.  It was everything I had hoped it would be.  It was a great time to be alive and I was having the time of my life.

True love found on Mars - But only in a dream

Now let me shift gears here and give my take on the movie Total Recall.  You see, while I was watching the movie I was hoping that what he was experiencing was all in his head and I believe that is the case.  There are just too many clues early on that give evidence of Douglas Quaid experiencing a Schizoid Embolism.  So without going off on a tangent about why he spent all the time strapped to a chair at Recall Inc.  Let me delve into why that is important to me and perhaps other Total Recall movie enthusiasts.

It is very likely that none of us will ever actually go to Mars.  It is very likely that none of us will ever find true love or anything close to an action/adventure laden romance.  So deep down, we don't really want to see Douglas Quaid experience those things either, not in reality at least.  But a complete malfunction of the mind which thereby enables him to go off on this adventure, well... that seems within our pathetic reach so we cheer for him and this premise.  We too can fantasize about such an experience and in a distant way we too can live such an adventure inside our own heads, just as Douglas Quaid experienced his.

Would I visit Recall Inc. if it became available... No.  I don't have to and neither do you.  We can experience a mind trip by reading a book, watching a movie or writing in a blog.  I had hoped that the remake of Total Recall would be something worth writing about, but it is not.  I wanted to relive that time all over again but alas it was not to be.  For me the peak of everything I desired was reached in the summer of 1990.  I would have wanted it to plateau and carry on for decades but it did not.  I still had moments and experiences that I enjoyed going through the 90s, 2000s but they never matched the sense of wonder and newness I felt on June 1st 1990.

It's about that time

I sit here nearly mid October and the thought occurred to me that I am very unorganized with my blogging.  It's not that I neglect a sense of orderliness < can't believe that's a word!  But the spell check department gave it a pass.  No, I have aspirations of being neat and tidy but my mind tends to wander.

Now as for today, this moment here... I am tired once again.  I went to sleep at 11pm and awoke at 4:30am to the sound of thunder.  Solid, shake you to the bone earth rattling thunder that cracked onto the scene followed by several minutes of rolling thunder.  There was also lightning but that wasn't as interesting as the thunder.

So I never returned to sleep, feeling excited I remained awake and then took my dog Urt for a ride around in the Jeep.  Huge rain puddles were everywhere indicating that it had poured more heavily then I realized.  We made our usual rounds, up and down the streets in the dark... still it isn't as cold as I'd like it to be.  It was cool but not bone chilling, I want that bone chilling air to cut through me while I drive with my window down.

Oh, yes... there was a crazy person on the corner as I was driving and unfortunately I left my dashcam running after the excursion and it overwrote the event.  A busy intersection, rain coming down, a crazed individual flailing about while walking dangerously close to oncoming traffic.

Later today I will venture out for a dental appointment... My intention is to document the trip.

For now.  - out
